First of all, I love this family! I did little Brynn’s newborn session, and I can’t believe how big she is already. She is 6 months old….time flies! This was probably the most relaxed I have ever been on a photo shoot. She just sat in the grass, chewed on her toys, and gave us some smiles and fun little expressions. I had so much fun seeing her and her mom. What a cutie. Oh, and I love that crazy hair! Enjoy her preview.

It blows me away that both kids have those incredible blue
eyes and Chelsea’s are so dark brown. I love that hair too!
This session was extra special to me, because I have known the bride since she was a little girl. We grew up in the same neighborhood, and I am so excited to shoot their wedding in July at Wooddale Church with a reception at the Arboretum. We did their session nearby Natalia’s parent’s house in Waconia. It’s a beautiful area filled with wonderful nature areas, which really shows off Garrett and Natalia’s style. We explored many different areas and got several great lighting ops! I had a great time with them on an extra hot and humid day. This definitely goes down as one of my favorite newborn sessions of all time. Not only was she precious, but she seriously only made a few peeps, left most of my blankets clean, and had the best parents. We did this session at my studio in Chaska, and got a nice warm day, which gave us the opportunity to get outdoor images. I love shooting newborns outside, but I rarely get the opportunity in Minnesota. I had a great time working her amazing mom. She was such a trooper, and we were both sweaty messes by the end! This little one is only 6 days old. Enjoy her preview!

I had such a fun time working with Chris and Christy! They are a wonderful couple and a joy to be around. Even though they weren’t overly enthusiastic about a camera in their face, they relaxed, we had some fun, and I think their photos really show their excitement and love for each other. We did their session nearby my studio in Chaska, and hit many of my favorite spots including the railroad tracks, the lake/dock, and the boardwalk marsh area. The session ended with a little unappreciated gift to Chris from a bird in the air and a few ticks on his leg. Gotta watch out for those grassy fields in the springtime. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding at the Elm Creek Chalet in Maple Grove in September! I have a few favs, but my current favorite is the black and white one fourth from the bottom. Impressed doesn’t even begin to say what I think of these pictures! Christy is my daughter and, of course, I think that she is incredibly beautiful (inside and out). You really captured that beauty and the beauty of their love for each other. You are as good at this as Christy said you were ! I can’t wait to see what you do with their wedding photos! Chris and Christy are very dear friends of mine and my husband Brian. I love the look they have in their eyes when they look at each other. It warms my heart and Teryn you captured that look perfectly. It is obvious how much love they have for each other and your photos only enchanced that. They brought a smile to my fave:-)
