Meet sweet baby ‘e’. Baby ‘e’ joined the world a little earlier than expected right on Christmas day. Newborn sessions are one of my favorites because, I love love love little babies, I get to be totally creative with them, and they are my biggest challenge. I was so surprised that this little one only soiled one of my blankets. Normally, I have two big loads of laundry to do after these sessions, and the majority of my blankets were dry. Thank you baby ‘e’! She is absolutely adorable, and I had a wonderful time getting to know her and her mom. Enjoy her preview!

Baby ‘S’ :: Minneapolis Newborn Photography

This definitely goes down as one of my favorite newborn sessions of all time. Not only was she precious, but she seriously only made a few peeps, left most of my blankets clean, and had the best parents. We did this session at my studio in Chaska, and got a nice warm day, which gave us the opportunity to get outdoor images. I love shooting newborns outside, but I rarely get the opportunity in Minnesota. I had a great time working her amazing mom. She was such a trooper, and we were both sweaty messes by the end! This little one is only 6 days old. Enjoy her preview!

Meet baby ‘B’. She is sweet as can be. I have been working with this family for a little while now photographing their little boy who is now a big brother. Baby Caiden :: Twin Cities Newborn Photography

A toughy but a lovey! Meet little baby Caiden! This baby is extra special to me because his mommy and I are like sisters; so he is like my nephew. Little CJ was so funny to photograph. He is extra loved at home and doesn’t like to be set down. He also is very good at adjusting himself when he isn’t in the most comfortable position, which made some poses extra tough. With a little patience and persistance we were able to get some really cute shots. Mommy and I were extra sweaty and I had about 2 loads of laundry when we were done. Of course, that was the day I ran out of laundry detergent…oops. Nothing like a visit to Dairy Queen with my sis at the end of a long sweaty photo session! Enjoy his preview. I love you Caiden! Meet baby Charlie and Shelby! These are probably some of my favorite newborn photos. I just loved working with these amazing babies. Charlie and Shelby are both 5 days old and were born on the same day, but they are not brother and sister. They are cousins. That’s right, their moms (who are sisters), had babies on the same day. Crazy right? I had a blast working with the mommies and their adorable babies. Both of the moms were fabulous too. They came full of energy, looking beautiful, you would never have known they gave birth 5 days ago. Mommy and Shelby came over a second day so we were able to get even more shots, and some incredible mother-daughter shots. Shelby was the most sleepy baby and pretty much let us pose her in any way. little peanut Jax :: twin cities newborn photography

Meet the little peanut Jax! He is 12 days old, and one of the smallest babies I have seen in a long time. He came into the world a little early, but is doing wonderfully. His parents were so wonderful to work with and very patient as we posed him into cute little positions. This was the first time I tested out my new prime lens and I loved it! I also got to test out some new props and blankets that I recently acquired. Jax will be coming back in a couple days so we can get a few more unique shots of him. Be ready for stork shots and family images! Welcome to the world Jax. I love the second to the last one where I caught a smile! Thanks Chad and Ann for letting me capture your little one! Meet little Chandler! He was so adorable, and I loved being able to photograph him in his first 2 weeks of life. His mother was so nice, patient and helpful as we captured his different poses. Louise’s maternity session is also featured on my blog on a previous post, and she looks amazing. This photo session was done in their home with all natural lighting. They have the coolest house that looks like a Christmas gingerbread house from the outside! My love for shooting newborns is growing so much! They are one of the harder subjects to photograph well, but I just love how artistic I can be with them. Little Quinn :: Twin Cities Newborn Photography

Trying to catch up on my blog posts! Meet little Quinn. He is a little over 6 weeks old and was an absolute doll. He was one of the strongest newborns I have ever seen. I had a great time working with him and his parents. They are from Chicago, and I got the privilege to work with them since they were visiting some family in Minnesota. We had a lot of laughs as we were left with a huge load of laundry. Even though it was cold, we ventured outside for a few family shots. I love the last family photo! Enjoy sweet little Quinn.
