Matt & Janelle :: Engaged

Wow, it's been a while since I have blogged. I have been really busy because I have recently re-located back to Minnesota! I am very excited to be here again, and can't wait for my upcoming summer weddings. I have so much to say about this photo shoot! Matt and Janelle were so much fun. I think we actually talked and hung out more then we actually did photography! We almost got rained out..but we got lucky. We did a lot of the shots right in my new backyard. We have a huge wooded area, lake, and marsh boardwalk right outside, and it's a photographers dream. We also went downtown to the stone arch bridge. I always have clients worried about if their photos are going to turn out because they are nervous or their kid is running around like crazy, but then I get home to edit and am amazed! I don't know how it happens, but we always seem to get great photos. I try to lighten the mood by telling jokes, but my jokes are pretty bad, which is probably why they end up laughing. Anyways...congrats to Matt and Janelle. Thank you guys for being so much fun. Thanks for putting up with me Matt! Their wedding is in August. Look back to see their wedding photos! I had so many favorites from this shoot. I tried to narrow it down to only a few, but it was so hard. My absolute favorite is the second one down. I think it would look awesome as an 30x40 enlargement!

Little Mason

What do you get when you add a newborn + a creative photographer that insists he remain in the buff? = 2 soaked baby blankets, wet jeans, and one big load of laundry. Mason is about 4 weeks old in these photos. Newborns photograph best before they reach 10 days old. I really learned a lesson on this because he was so much more alert than younger fresh ones. Thankfully he did sleep for us a little bit so we could get some fun images. If you are having a baby in the near future remember to get some photos taken right away! I travel to your home for your newborn photographs and make the whole process really easy.
